FUNCTIONAL RANGE CONDITIONING®

Remember the saying, “If you don’t use it, you lose it”? That’s especially important when we talk about movement and our joint health.

Our bodies are designed to move but unfortunately, many of us have been conditioned to take it to the extreme, doing things that our bodies haven’t been prepared for. Or after years of sitting at desks all day, our bodies lose the ability to move well and we begin to develop compensations. Plain and simple, everyone needs to get better at moving…the right way.

What’s the best way to do this? FRC® mobility training.

FRC® mobility training focuses on improving joint health and control.

The end goal? To make each one of your joints as awesome as possible - which means you can do the active things you love, pain-free.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL RANGE CONDITIONING®?

Developed by world-renowned musculoskeletal expert Dr. Andreo Spina, Functional Range Conditioning® is a comprehensive joint training system based in scientific principals and research.

There are 3 main goals when training using the FRC® system and all are closely interrelated, and acquired simultaneously:

  • Mobility Development: Mobility refers to the amount of active, usable motion that one possesses. The more mobile a person is, the more they are able to maximize their movement potential safely, efficiently, and effectively.

  • Joint Strength: While improving mobility and movement potential, the FRC® system also acts to ‘bullet proof’ (or safe-guard) your joints so that movement can be executed safely.

  • Body Control: Training with FRC® improves the function of your nervous system. This leads to a reduction of pain and injury, joint health and longevity, as well as an increased ability to move freely and easily.

HOW WE USE IT

FRC® is the system used in all of our online mobility training programs. Combined with my own skills learned over the past 20 years, we use it to:

  • Assess: Focus on finding movement limitations and where the root of any pain is coming from with a joint-by-joint assessment. This is really an eye opener to what needs to be worked on and provides a clear roadmap for progress.

  • Expand: Discover where your body is capable of going by increasing current ranges of motion and joint capacity. Develop confidence in your movement to safely, efficiently and effectively see what your body is capable of.

  • Control: Learn to harness your newly acquired ranges of motion and control for infinite degrees of freedom of movement.

BENEFITS

WHO IS IT FOR?

FRC® is for anyone looking to build a foundation so they can continue to go and do all of the other sports, training or daily activities that they want.

We want to be clear. FRC® is not meant to replace your existing training or favorite sports. It’s meant to enhance it. The exercises you’ll learn have carryover to improve whatever it is that you want to do:

  • Break through that annoying training plateau

  • Increase sports performance

  • Play outside with your kids again

  • Heck - get out of bed in the morning with confidence that the first step you take won’t be painful

It's time to move, feel and perform better.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"After suffering from a back injury for over 5 years, my chiropractor recommended I include mobility training as part of my recovery and rehabilitation.

Playing competitive beach volleyball, running 6-12 miles a day and endless hours of computer work had done quite a number on my body. I was in constant pain and unable to do any of the activities I once enjoyed.

The biggest differences I’ve seen are greater flexibility overall, increased strength and more endurance. I’m starting to be able to do some of the things I love again! I also noticed I don't get "hurt" as quickly or as frequently when doing strenuous activities or sports. I noticed my pain level was dramatically reduced during an activity that would normally hurt quite a bit."
